Chalk paint initiation

Sunday night, and I thought I'd share with you my doings of this last week.  

But before I do, a couple of technical questions.  For those of you that are subscribed and receive an email, it is just a notification message, you cannot reply to it.  By clicking anywhere where it says Orange, blue, and a pinch of happy ( usually at the top and bottom of the message) it will take you to the actual blog, where there is more to see besides the post. Once on the blog, you can go to the end of the post, click on comment, a little window opens up and you can comment :) Same goes for the lovely people that get there from Facebook.  It would be great if you could actually comment on the blog, where everybody that follows it can see your comments.

Domingo por la noche y aqui estoy para compartir mis últimas creaciones.

Pero antes de nada un par de cuestiones técnicas. Para la gente que ha hecho un suscripción y recibe un correo electronico, este es solo una notificacion a la que no se puede responder.  Haciendo click donde pone Orange, blue, and a pinch of happy ( normalmente en la parte de arriba y la parte de abajo del correo), te lleva al propio blog, donde hay más que ver a parte del post.  Una vez en el blog, al final del post cliquea donde pone comment, se abre una ventana y puedes escribir tu comentario. Lo mismo va para la gente que visita desde Facebook. Sería genial comentar en el propio blog para que lo vean todos los que lo siguen.

OK, so chalk paint! I have been wanting to try it out since it made an appearance a couple of years ago, but didn´t get around to it until now.  When Andrés gave me a great wooden wine box "to put my stuff in", I grabbed the opportunity and finally bought three colors.  And how fun!, Chalk paint is easy to apply, covers everything with just one coat and dries fast leaving a chalky finish. Love it! 

Entonces, chalk paint! Llevo queriendo probarlo desde que apareció hace un par de años pero no lo consegui hasta ahora. Cuando Andrés me dio una caja de madera de uno de sus vinos "por si lo queria para mis cosas", aproveché de la oportunidad y compré tres colores par probar. Y que divertido! Se aplica facilmente, lo cubre todo solo con una capa y se seca rápido dejando un acabado como de tiza.  Me encanta!

And then I decided I´d paint one of the pumpkins - well actually a gourd in this case - that I got for the Halloween season.  This is señorita Bola :)
Y luego decidí que iba a pintar una de las calabazas que tengo para esta epoca del año.  Os presento a la señorita Bola :)

                   

  

And with still more need to paint, I painted a glass jar to use as a brush holder!

Y todavia con ganas de pintar, pinté un tarro de cristal para mis pinceles!

That´s all I could get my hands on for the time being.  Stay posted for when I get started on furniture...

Y de momento, esto es todo lo que ataqué con pintura.  Pero atentos para cuando empiezo con los muebles, jeje....
