Baby quilts

Febrero me ha traído una nueva sobrinilla y le he dado la bienvenida con una colchita, diseñada y hecha especialmente para ella.  

February brought me a new niece and I designed and made her a baby quilt.

This started when my twin nephews were born, right in the middle of my first year of quilting and patchwork classes.  I really enjoy designing and sewing each quilt especially for the new baby.

Es una tradición que empecé con mis sobrinos mellizos, que nacieron el año de mi primer curso haciendo Patchwork y que disfruto mucho.

Pink, turquoise and brown for my god-daughter, dragonfly and intial included...

           

And this one was for our trusted Laura´s baby - and she really liked it!

                                                     

 My blondie motor-mouth nephew got an "around the world" quilt with all sorts of robots on the other side. He is the one that most uses his quilt, he told me the other day it´s especially good for naps on his new shaggy rug.


And finally this is the one I made for my godson, with a train that matches the decorative border he had in his room!
