New York

I have been wanting to get back to the States for so long, it seemed quite unreal when I finally set foot in New York a couple of weeks ago. As expected, it did not fail to impress me (again) and my kids (for the first time). What a city of contrasts and colors, all centered around its two biggest stars: buildings and people! Loved every exhausting, nostalgic minute of it.

Spring in Central Park. Adolf Dehn, American, 1895-1968. Watercolor on paper, 1941. The Metropolitan Museum of Art

We were lucky enough to get this sunny morning in
Central Park
Even better than the painting I fell in love with at the Met.

Ladies of New York

First time on top of the Empire State Building

I think crossing the Brooklyn Bridge was the highlight for me this time (in spite of the other three million people doing the same)

 Snap shots

Ahhh, the Food and everything that surrounds it. From witty mexican signs, to Little Italy meatballs, to trendy Chelsea Market

Only got to see George and Randy on the side of a truck,  but it was still a special moment for me :)

Flatiron and environs by night. Including a Manhattan at
The Smith.

It´s called Grand, because there is no other word for it.
Grand Central Station

Colors: from Times Square to Victoria´s Secret to the impressive flower activity at Rockefeller Center to a big Toro in the middle of Broadway

The New York Public Library, almost made me
want to study again (almost)

No comment here, really ;)

And of course brought back some supplies to keep me busy from Gotham Quilts and M&J Trimmings
Hope to be able to show you my makings soon! :)
